Abstract

Ecuador is one of the Latin American countries with deficiencies in its management of educational inclusion for people with disabilities.  Based on this premise, this study aims to analyze the perception of satisfaction regarding the services offered to students with physical disabilities by the Department of Student Welfare of an Institution of Higher Education in Quito, carried out during October and November 2019. For this, a descriptive and transversal methodology was used with a quantitative approach. The instrument used was a survey based on the WHODAS 2.0 Disability Assessment Questionnaire and the Questionnaire for Inclusive University Education sponsored by the Prometheus Project. The main finding found was that, despite the efforts made by the Student Welfare unit, there is still much to do so that, in said institution, and in Ecuador, an inclusive, barrier-free and participatory educational culture is achieved for people physically disabled.
